Remote control app for the SqueezeBox system. For WebOS phones
- Control your SqueezeBox players from your phone.
- Search for music from anywhere in the app - just start typing.
- Replicates almost all of the functionality of a SqueezeBox Controller, including the plugin apps.
- Works with both MySqueezebox.com and Squeezebox Server as the music source.
- Dashboard controls lets you control your Squeezebox even when the app is in the background.
Requirements
- A device using WebOS version 1.4 or higher
- A MySqueezebox.com account if you want to use MySqueezebox.com. If not SqueezeBox Server version 7.4 or better.(it might work with the Squeezebox Touch as the server - not tested)
- If you want to use both MySqueezebox.com and a local Squeezebox Server, version 7.5 or better is required.
Remote control app for the SqueezeBox system. For the Touchpad
- Control your SqueezeBox players from your Touchpad.
- All the features of Squeeze Control redesigned for the larger screen of the Touchpad and more.
Requirements
- An HP Touchpad
- A MySqueezebox.com account if you want to use MySqueezebox.com. If not SqueezeBox Server version 7.5 or better.(it might work with the Squeezebox Touch as the server - not tested) 7.4 might work but I haven't tested it.
- If you want to use both MySqueezebox.com and a local Squeezebox Server, version 7.5 or better is required.
Audio Playback Support
Audio Playback is available via a free App called Squeeze Player. For the Pre3 and the Touchpad, this app can be found in the app catalog. For a Pre/Pre+/Pre2/Veer running webOS 2.1.0 or better with the 'HP Maps' app installed(the one that adds enyo support), you can find the app here: Squeeze Player (Beta)Instructions
Notes
- Use a wifi connection if possible. A mobile data connection would work if the server is setup correctly, but the performance may not be acceptable
- When connected to a server, the app is constantly communicating with the server even when you're not actively interacting with the app. If you're connecting using a mobile data connection, this may incur a significant data usage fee.
- Tested with the SqueezeBox Receiver, Boombox, and Radio. Other devices should at least be controllable, but some menu items may not function correctly
- Automatic server discovery is supported on the Touchpad. Limitations in the webOS prevents support on older devices.
